Horrible 33 of the Day-- Michael Hastings

Michael Hastings, the fearless journalist whose reporting brought down the career of General Stanley McChrystal, has died in a car accident in Los Angeles, Rolling Stone has learned. He was 33.
Hastings' unvarnished 2010 profile of McChrystal in the pages of Rolling Stone, "The Runaway General," captured the then-supreme commander of the U.S.-led war effort in Afghanistan openly mocking his civilian commanders in the White House. The maelstrom sparked by its publication concluded with President Obama recalling McChrystal to Washington and the general resigning his post. "The conduct represented in the recently published article does not meet the standard that should be met by – set by a commanding general," Obama said, announcing McChrystal's departure. "It undermines the civilian control of the military that is at the core of our democratic system."

LATimes:
Neither the Los Angeles Police Department nor coroner's officials could immediately confirm whether Hastings was the victim of a single-car crash that occurred about 4:25 a.m. in the 600 block of North Highland Avenue. Police officials said it was the only vehicle fatality reported Tuesday morning in the city of Los Angeles.
The vehicle crossed a median, struck a tree and burst into flames in the Hancock Park area, LAPD Officer Christopher No said. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Coroner's officials said they could not immediately identify the victim, saying the body was burned beyond recognition. Without identification or next of kin, neither the LAPD nor the coroner's department could officially identify the body found in the vehicle.
KTLA:
he wreck happened near the intersection of Highland and Melrose avenues around 4:15 a.m., according to LAPD Officer Lillian Carranza. Hastings car slammed into a tree and caught fire.
The driver appeared to be speeding at the time of the crash, Carranza said.
“I was just coming northbound on Highland and I seen a car, like, going really fast and all of a sudden I seen it jackknife,” said Luis Cortez, who witnessed the wreck.
“I just seen parts fly everywhere and I slammed on my brakes and stopped and tried to call 911,” Cortez added.
Hastings was pronounced dead at the scene.
Coroner’s officials said the body was too badly burned to make an immediate identification.

Are you fucking kidding me?

Well there goes one of the last actual journalists the country had.

No doubt the true believers will be staying up late tonight, waiting to pounce on anyone who dares suggest his death could be compared to the murder of Danny Casolaro.

Presumably the intense fire will make it impossible to check his body for toxins or benzos or anything else. As per usual.

One by one they fall.

Their greatest value to the system, ultimately, is as cautionary ale for any kids out there that might make the mistake of trying to be real, old school journalists.

Yeah... We're free... Free to run to the end of our leashes.

That the nature of American 'freedom'. As long as no one hears from you... As long as your efforts make no real difference... You're 'free'. Cause trouble, though... Expose the men behind the curtain... and you'll find out just how 'free' you really are.

I wonder what he was working on.

He could have had a nice long life had he been from the Blitzer school of 'journalism' (ie reading press releases and calling them 'news').

But... alas... He was one of us.

Rest in peace, Michael - and thank you.

They killed you, but they can't kill what you stood for.

The fight continues.

btw - Assuming people will suggest otherwise.... Of COURSE cars can be hacked:

Garbage site, but good info in this specific case. Easily verified with numerous sources.

Can you please explain to me the significance or negative aspect of 33? You write about it a lot and I do know that it is the highest level in Freemasonry, that Jesus died at 33, etc., but why is this so significant a number to the PTB? Doesn't it have many positive aspects too?

I saw this tragedy about Michael Hastings this morning too and immediately what came to mind is fellow Rolling Stone journalist Matt Taibbi. If you have ever come across what he wrote about 9/11 Truth you would know that he is not who he claims to be. If 9-11is the litmus test, he failed it completely. Wondering what your thoughts are on him.

On some (possibly) good news, did you see that the main stream media is reporting that TWA Flight 800 investigators are now acknowledging that the official story was a cover up? That something external hit the plane? Interesting...

Anyway, I find your blog very helpful. Thanks.

Permit me to offer an opinion about 33.

Whenever the PTB order something bad to happen, it has to have a 3 or 33
somehow involved.

CIA Assassin’s Manual:

"For secret assassination, either simple or chase, the contrived accident is the most effective technique. When successfully executed, it causes little excitement and is only casually investigated.”

Cars are arguably one of the softest targets when it comes to assassinations and kidnappings

No wonder that person chooses to remain an anonymous scientist(?).

Oh well, that certainly was a clear explanation. it's "either conspiratorial, or coincidence."
Sure thing Bunky.
