Quick Hits

Apparently, magic silver paint kept the Apollo cameras from overheating on the moon!

33 of the day-- "Over the last year, the Obama administration has aggressively pushed a $433-million plan to buy an experimental smallpox drug, despite uncertainty over whether it is needed or will work."

1,121 out of 2,747 WTC victims still have not even one fragment of identifiable DNA.

Somewhat interesting-- videos made by the CIA to educate President Ronald Reagan about the Russians. I only watched the first one on the space program. Funny how the CIA complains of the USSR space program being secretly military in nature, but then at the end, they mention how the US space program is 50% military in nature (something people don't normally mention with regard to NASA). There is one on Chernobyl that looks intriguing, but I only watched a bit of it.

"Deep" Thought of the Day-- humans spend a lot of time thinking about the surface of the earth, the atmosphere and even outer space. What seems to get very little thought is the thousands and thousands of miles of earth INSIDE this planet-- just VAST amounts of matter that we have little idea about.
