Funny How the US Media Never Mentions That Georgia Picked This Fight, and Now the US Is Apparently Escalating It

Piglipstick:
War With Russia, Anyone?

If you listen to or watch wretched corporate media in the US you would never know that the psychotic criminals in Washington are barreling full speed ahead towards just such a catastrophe.

Russia's obliteration of Georgia's military and subsequent occupation of the region seems to be a challenge that the fascists want to use to start WW3. Lots of people have tried to figure out why they sent their thug Saakashvili on a criminal rampage in South Ossetia. Was it to start a prolonged dirty little war right on Russia's border? A feint while Iran was attacked? Or was it done to deliberately initiate a major conflagration, which fast moving events appear to substantiate?

Today we're learning that the Bushistas are about to flood Georgia with aid, brought in by the US military. Knowing the duplicitous nature of this filthy regime one should expect that most, if not all of it will be emergency military aid for the beaten up Georgian forces. It's already public knowledge that Israel hasn't stopped delivering military material like it's been alleged.

'Israeli military aid still flowing in' - "Saakashvili said he is aware of problems with supplying the pilotless drones that his army ordered from Israeli companies, but not of the stopping of any other shipments of military aid."

Even though he's just another tinhorn punk installed by his fascist mentors in Washington, all along Saakashvili has seemed pretty smug that his masters would come to his aid. Just today he blurted out that "The Pentagon is readying to take over airports and ports in the former Soviet republic of Georgia."

If this tool is correct then it appears American forces will be set to clash with the Russian military because it doesn't appear that there's much of a ceasefire in the country. A half dozen Georgian coast guard ships were sunk in the military port of Poti. Reports have it that Russian columns are streaming across the border and are pouring deep into Georgia. Putin is no fool, and not to take advantage of his strong position to dispose of a regime with ziofascist sympathies right next to Mother Russia would be a big mistake. This is the hairy edge of brinkmanship like we haven't seen in a long time. If our fascists wanted all out war with a superpower that has the muscle and resolve to fight back then it looks like their time has come.

Because it appears that we may already be there.

Russian Troops Report US And Israeli Soldiers Killed In Georgian War:

"According to staff officers accompanying Colonel-General Anatoly Nogovitsyn returning from the battlefront, at least 7 foreign fighters identified as American and Israel soldiers have been found among the rubble of the now freed, but destroyed, capital city of South Ossetia, Tskhinvali.

The 3 dead American soldiers, these reports state, were identified by their uniform patches as belonging to the United States 173 Airborne Brigade assigned to the US’ Southern European Command, and who just a few weeks ago were airlifted to Georgia for what was described as a ‘war game’ exercise with Georgian Military Forces preparing for their unprovoked attack upon the Russian peoples of South Ossetia."

if you indeed made a comment about "the plame trollop" that was subsequently deleted by spooked then it was no doubt very offensive.

but that was a nice try (@4:12) of distracting from the issue.

the facts
the facts don't lie:
- 6 Aug 2008 Georgia started massive shelling of villages near Tshinvali
- 7 Aug 2008 23:30 Georgia started massive shelling of Tshinvali
- 8 Aug 2008 03:00 state minister of Georgia announces that Tshinvali is surrounded by georgian forces.
- 8 Aug 2008 15:00 Tshinvali is demolished. About 1400 ossetians killed
- 8 Aug 2008 16:00 Ossetian forces started counter attack, russian tanks entered Ossetia and fired towards georgian forces, Georgian forces left Tshinvali

Georgian soldiers were shooting down women, old people and children in South Ossetia.
Eight populated areas were wiped off from the face of the earth. Their defenders fell during Georgian aviation attack. As witnessed by Ilona Djioeva, resident of Dmenis village, “Georgian war- civilians’ houses and then the village was entered by soldiers who shot up old people, women and children”.

This isn't news. Most media in most countries act the same way as the media does here.

On that point, sure even "ap" would agree.

Well I would highlight one difference, that I saw from a videotape of an interview of a former Soviet citizen.

He said that in the Soviet Union, there was nary a word of truth on anything put out in their MSM. But he said that virtually the entire citizenry recognized this.

Then when he came to the USA, it was immediately clear to him, that the MSM here also did not put out a single word of truth on anything. But he was shocked to see that many (most?) in the USA actually believe the official claptrap from the media/regime.

My take--the Brtish American regime is the world leader in B.S.

I always find it remarkable that "Western thinkers" believe that Orwell was writing about Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union.

He worked for the BBC and was highly likely MI5 (or its predecessor). He was writing about the British American regime and its media/govt. He apparently gave away more than he was supposed to--he wanted to title his book "1948", not "1984". He died from tubeculosis even though there were antibiotics by then, and his death is debated.

right. it isn't news if it isn't reported!
in this case the news is the fact that the so-called media is not only failing to report the news but is actually manufacturing falsities and reporting them as so-called news.

GO TEAM McMEDIA!

I could give a flying fuck about Plame-- that's small potatoes, and never something I really cared about. I just didn't appreciate the pointless name-calling that went along with the comment.
