Windows VISTA

I just got a new computer with this system loaded on it.

So far, it is more annoying than anything else.

Sound is not working and I don't have time to call tech support. The printer worked last night and now I can't print.

Arrggh.

i just got a new system with the latest xp'05 which works great and a free vista upgrade disc so i loaded it - then it wouldn't recognize the printer and when screensaver kicked on it would freeze up. also the sound was weak. i had it recovered back to xp'05 and it works great again.
vista is lame. stick with xp.

xp has always worked very well for me ever since the first version and xp media edition '05 has proven to be no exception.
granted, windows is no doubt fraught with backdoors and mcafee/norton are probably the real spies but even with that, xp has never once crashed or failed me.

why do you consider these OS to be superior?

"why do you consider these OS to be superior?"

those are really all links to the same OS, just different flavors; linux. superior... nah, but a matter of preference. can you play ms flight sim on linux? not easily, but yes. is linux open source without stupid DRM restrictions? hell ya! how's that windows genuine authentication genie taste, dood?

linux a free operating system and viable desktop replacment for windows, and it gives you access to a ton of open source couterparts to your daily or not so daily apps. check out:

my computer hardware costs enough money! why on earth would i wanna pay for computer software/OS? go download, burn and boot from a linux live CD. you can try it out w/o install or f*cking up your windows os. just a straight boot, run from CD, load to memory will give you a taste of linux before you juump off the microsoft bandwagon

or how about just because linux has the blood, sweat, and tears of many a computer geeks free time design and code as opposed to the blood, sweat, and tears and many a computer geeks time spent working for da man.

my new and powerful computer with xp'05 seems almost like a magical device to me right now but i will try to analyse what you have said and draw my owm conclusions - cool?
in the meantime if you feel as if you would like to impart yet more info then please feel free.

Computers are hard for someone of your intellect, aren't they Spook?

computers are especially difficult when they are not designed properly yet fabricated anyway and then sent out into the world despite having obvious flaws where they are sold anyway at a high cost.

hey sword, how about those 1500 cars some a whole mile away from the wtc that mysteriously burnt up on one side only when the wtc were exploded into dust at the rate of 11 floors per second?
any thoughts on that yet?
i didn't think so.

Do you have any proof of that?

Didn't think so.

BTW, the WTC collapsed at a rate of only FOUR floors per second.

You lose again, too bad, so sad, suxx to be you.
