Blast from the Past: The Odigo Warnings

via Haaretz:
Odigo, the instant messaging service, says that two of its workers received messages two hours before the Twin Towers attack on September 11 predicting the attack would happen, and the company has been cooperating with Israeli and American law enforcement, including the FBI, in trying to find the original sender of the message predicting the attack.

So what ever happened with that, anyway?

Hadn't you heard? 4 thousand Jews were told not to come to work that day by the mossad...

WASHINGTON (Dec. 22) - The Selective Service System is making plans to test its draft machinery in case Congress and President Bush need it, even though the White House says it doesn't want to bring back the draft.
---
wow they would certainly need a draft if we were to be 'attacked' again.

pres. bush will be heard to say, "gosh i certainly don't like instituting this draft but the terrorist have left me no choice.
this hurts me more than it does you!"

oh ya: hey sword of truth's boss! sword is deserving of a promotion and substantial increase in salary because he at least pretends that he would address the issue of the toasted cars and completely powderized concrete!

Yes, I've heard that story. Was it reported in Haaretz? What is your point?
Are you suggesting that because Odigo is an Israeli company it means Israel is behind 9/11? That's quite a leap of logic.

The story is interesting, of course, and I also wonder what came of it.

if Bush thinks his approval ratings are low now, watch what would happen if they brought back the draft...he'd be impeached or wilkes-boothed...

It WAS reported in Haaretz.

I am not suggesting that because Odigo is an Israeli company that Israel was behind 9/11. Far from it.

Just that there were warnings, and news of the warnings were reported in Israeli media. I don't know what happened to the investigation of the warnings-- probably went nowhere.

I'm sure if you searched The American Free Press you could find out. One word - Joooooooooos!

So much easier to mock than to take the idea that 9/11 was an inside job seriously, isn't it?

I think on 9/11 you either have a transnational group of well-connected "perps", or more likely, you have an officially sanctioned covert operation of the US, UK, and friends (since one of the perps made it into the White House.) The israelis had either been running the hijackers or tailing the hijackers for a long time. The oil and defense sectors seem to be pretty keen on this whole "land grab" idea, and the USA is the only friend Israel has. So naturally if something big's going down they're going to try to find out about it. If they were invovled I'm sure it was with full sign-off from Washington.

These military industrial guys really believe all this stuff about "public opinion being the center of gravity for all future military operations." President's orders. To what extent Israelis were actively involved in the operation, the warning to Odigo just shows they're more sqeamish about murdering each other (or letting their citizens get murdered) than the US apparently is. We know the FBI was onto the plot, and their agents who wrote all those memos got told to shut up. I would suspect that it's because the "hijackers" they discovered were part of a much bigger plan. I'm sure the Bush administration and their cronies are very proud of how they bravely sacrificed 3,000 for the greater good.

How about some proof that the WTCs collapsed from a gravity pancake effect - got proof of that?
How fast did each WTC collapse anyway? Didn't JaneDoe show us that the NIST and 911 Commission reports explanation for the WTCs collapse "is not physically possible"?
http://janedoe0911.tripod.com/BilliardBalls.html
It only took her 1 page to show that the official government explanation is false.
Why hasn't anyone shown that she is wrong? Could it be that she is not wrong?

Spooked, I was responding to anonymous:

"Hadn't you heard? 4 thousand Jews were told not to come to work that day by the mossad..."

I was comparing this unsubstantiated rumor to the story you posted, which was published in Haaretz, and meant to convey that you weren't necessarily suggesting Israel was behind it just because Odigo is an Israeli company, but that it is still significant as a forewarning.

I think it would be healthy if I disagreed with you more, to keep up the critical thiking. But as usual, you make so much sense, so it'll have to be some other time. :->

Sorry, Ningen-- it was early in the morning when I wrote that-- wasn't thinking too clearly.

As far as JaneDoe (aka Judy Wood, PhD Engineering)-- lots of people in various places have said that her billiard ball model is totally wrong. However I've not seen her model proven wrong by a real engineer. I know Judy Wood's PhD advisor, a serious mechanical engineer, thinks her model is basically correct. Unfortunately, he has refused to speak out on 9/11 because it is too "controversial".

Also Judy Wood presented her billiard ball model (she likes to call it an example rather than a model) at an engineering conference -- and no one disputed it at the meeting. As far as I know, Steven Jones has never presented his demolition research, such as it is, at an engineering conference, nor has Jim Hoffman.

I think the biggest problem laypeople have with Woods model is they think the falling top structure has much more potential energy then required to knock the lower floors down-- and the top part of the collapse acts as a piledrive of sorts-- pulverizing the buildings. In reality, the falling upper floors do not have enough energy to destroy the lower floor columns and to pulverize the concrete on that floor and then to knock down the next floor as well!

In any case, what was seen on 9/11 was the upper floors turning to dust as the lower floors fell and turned to dust. I think one would have to be an idiot not to at least suspect demolition as the explanation for what happened.

There are huge psychological barriers to abandonning the official version:

1. The Government knowingly kills people (without a trial, for political reasons)
2. America has the same problems that Nazi Germany, China, the Roman Empire, and every other country has had at one time or another
3. The TV news cannot be trusted
4. The rest of the mainstream press would rather echo military propaganda than question the dear leader
5. The scientific and engineering community and Popular Mechanics are not willing to challenge the official story
6. The military is willing to let the USA "Take one for the team" in order to launch a war
7. Hijackers, Planes, and Bin Laden, all the stuff we got told when we were traumatized was just a sick mind game
8. The goverment has weapons we're not familiar with, and is willing to use them.
9. Insiders can keep their mouths shut well enough that we don't know any famous whistleblowers

That's a pretty scary list. It's a lot more comfortable for people to believe that we were attacked by some evil arab terrorists who hate our freedoms. Hell, I wish the official version were true too, that's a lot more comforting. Unfortunately it's the enemy inside the gate that we have to worry about this time.

lots of people have SAID that her example is wrong but NO ONE has actually SHOWN where it is wrong. her example makes it plain as day that the NIST explanation is wrong. and she shows WHY it is wrong. with all the structural engineers in the world (hi sword! blow me!) at their disposal there can only be one explanation for NIST's failure:
the NIST report is actually a cover-up.

and the top part of the collapse acts as a piledrive of sorts-- pulverizing the buildings.

perhaps that might've been a satisfactory explanation if we all couldn't see with our own eyes that the upper section (top part of the collapse) was disintegrating at the same time as it was supposedly pulverizing the lower section.
hmmm.
so how could the upper section which at that point was comprised of powdered concrete suspended in the air and steel columns that were being ejected outward have imposed it's mass onto the lower section?
it could not have.

of course you know all this already - this comment and ALL my comments are for the benefit of any strangers who might see it.

Fred-- great points on the psychological barriers. Perfectly said.

James -- I am hoping to do a big post going over the BBE in the near future. Suffice it to say you're right, that no one has proven it wrong.
