Weakened Bush

It's rather ugly right now:

1) CIA leak case will almost certainly result in prosecution of top administration officials, and if nothing else has exposed Iraq war lies and eroded the administration's credibility
2) Miers withdraws as supreme court nominee
3) Iraq is a true quagmire with US soldiers dying constantly and no end in sight
4) WashPost unloads on Cheney for his torture policy (about fucking time)
5) large deficits and record federal debt
6) the stock market is going nowhere,
7) gas prices are still relatively high and the economy is mediocre
8) Bush's approval ratings are below 40%, a clear danger sign

How much worse can things get?

I don't really know-- impeachment seems unlikely, but I don't know how Bush can turn things around either. Even a new terror attack is unlikely to help him.

But in any case, I just have one thing to say to conservatives/Republicans and anyone else who voted for this loser:

WE TOLD YOU BUSH WOULD BE A DISASTER!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, the joke is on all of us.

I know all these things give you a big hard-on with regards to the administration, but an objective analysis really shoots down these items.

1) CIA leak case will almost certainly result in prosecution of top administration officials, and if nothing else has exposed Iraq war lies and eroded the administration's credibility

Looks like Fitzmas left you a big pile of pony dung.

2) Miers withdraws as supreme court
nominee

Geez...you'd think Bush was the only President who had a Supreme Court nominee withdraw because of a poor vetting process.

3) Iraq is a true quagmire with US soldiers dying constantly and no end in sight

I know that this is the only talking point with regards to Iraq that you can come up with but parotting it constantly and repeating it ad infinitum won't make it true.

4) WashPost unloads on Cheney for his torture policy (about fucking time)

WashPost - now *there's* an unbiased
administration source of criticism.

5) large deficits and record federal debt

Take an economics course. The deficits of today are by far not the highest in history, adjusted for economic growth.

6) the stock market is going nowhere,

Sounds like you want instant gratification from the market. Doesn't work that way. Besides...tying into your next canard, gas prices are high because China and India have GDP growth rates that are into the solid double-digits, sucking up all the excess fuel coming out of the middle east - hardly something the US can do anything about, and the 3.8% growth during the last quarter, even with 2 major hurricanes wreaking havoc on a number of national and international industries, kills this false claim of a mediocre economy.

7) gas prices are still relatively high and the economy is mediocre

Bullshit.

8) Bush's approval ratings are below 40%, a clear danger sign

For crying out loud. Low approval rating for past presidents:

# Bill Clinton: 37 percent

# George H. W. Bush: 29 percent

# Ronald Reagan: 35 percent

# Jimmy Carter: 21 percent

# Gerald Ford: 37 percent

# Richard Nixon: 24 percent

# Lyndon Johnson: 35 percent

Look...I know you despise the President and everything he stands for and there are plenty of things to fault him on across the board, but to make up this crap underscores an intellectual vacuity that renders absolutely impossible any rationale discourse. I've often said Bush could personally find a cure for cancer and the left would lambaste him for putting undertakers out of work. This sort of one-sided bashing does nothing more than blows you right through absurd and into the farcical - a cariciture of a political hater.
